Luck has nothing to do with Assistant Course Superintendent Chad Hively’s skills when it comes to making 633 Group and The Moors Golf Club look their best.  After earning a bachelor’s degree in biology from Western Michigan University, he completed the Turfgrass Management Program at Michigan State University.

In addition to serving as The Moors’ assistant course superintendent from 2002-2007, Chad’s experience includes similar roles at Yarrow Golf & Conference Resort Center in Augusta, Mich., its successor Skywood Recovery, and Riverside Golf Club & Banquet Center in Battle Creek, Mich.

Chad takes pride in a hard day’s work and doing a job correctly the first time yet enjoys himself in the process. Seeing the sunrise every day is one of the most rewarding parts of his job. And why wouldn’t it be with all of the beautiful scenery at The Moors. Ensuring that visitors and members alike experience that same beauty is his mission.
